St Mawes is one of my favourite locations in the world to paint for its beauty combined with ever changing light conditions that make it so fascinating for a painter. I love this view and have painted it many times under many different weather conditions. This location means a lot to me because it is the place that I began my journey as a landscape painter. I particularly love trying to capture the atmospheric clouds and interplay of light on the water.
