Painted in August, I was grateful to find some shade where I set up my easel. The dappled light on the trees and buildings made for a wonderful effect and I enjoyed using playful colours to express the heat of the day.

Autumnal Evening along the Embankment

Painted along the Chelsea Embankment, one of my favourite spots to paint, the low autumn sun reflected on the water and the painting has a quiet mood.

Painted in a cosy alpine bedroom as the snow fell outside, this painting exudes a sense of calm with its blue hues, the orange headboard giving a subtle complimentary contrast.

Painted during the hot summer months near home, the cows were gathering around a stream in the centre of the valley, clambering in and out to cross. The meadow was covered in a carpet of buttercups.
